Our support groups provide people with cancer and caregivers with a place to explore ways of coping with the stress of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our licensed clinicians help support group participants learn how to take an active role in their own health and well-being. Attendance at an orientation session is required prior to joining a group.
Is your wig hot, itchy, painful, or all three? Do you want to find creative, colorful ways to cover and protect your head, while helping you feel beautiful? If you have hair loss due to chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments, this class can help you learn The Art of the Scarf.
In this class, we will cover:
- how to select the right size, shape and color of scarf
- multiple ways to wrap, twist and tie scarves
- looks for day and evening
The workshop is open to all patients, survivors with long-term hair loss, and caregivers. It is offered free of charge.
Please bring a scarf or two of your own to practice with. Class size is limited to eight participants. Call Eileen to reserve your space at 925-1114.
