UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center/People Living Through Cancer Support Group
A brief educational session followed by time for sharing and support; open to patients, survivors and loved ones. This support group is offered in partnership with People Living Through Cancer.
Every Tuesday of the month, 10 – 11 a.m.
This semi-monthly support group is for people living with advanced or metastatic cancer. The open discussion group is facilitated by Liz Carrino-Tamasi, MSW, and Emily Sower, NP-C. A guided meditation, relaxation, and guided imagery group to help ease stress and improve coping. Open to patients, loved ones, and staff.
This group is open to any current patient and survivor of breast cancer. Please join us for support, information, sharing and education. Guest speakers may be included. This group will will be held each month at the PinnacleHealth Cancer Center on the east shore and the Ortenzio Cancer Center on the west shore. Please contact at (717) 724-6790 with any questions. Weekly support group for people affected by cancer and their primary emotional care provider. Explore new ways of dealing with the physical and emotional effects of cancer. An interview is required before attending group.
Meets every fourth Tuesday
This support group is open to all cancer patients and their loved ones regardless of where they are along this journey. Talk over coffee and pastries while sharing experiences and ways to cope with all aspects of cancer –from the emotional and physical, down to the practical.
