Our support groups provide people with cancer and caregivers with a place to explore ways of coping with the stress of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our licensed clinicians help support group participants learn how to take an active role in their own health and well-being. Attendance at an orientation session is required prior to joining a group.

The Circle of Friends Breast Cancer Support Group meets the third Wednesday of the month, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, 361 Old Belgrade Road, Augusta. Call MaineGeneral’s Breast Care Program at (207) 621-6162 for more information.

This group is open to any current patient and survivor of breast cancer. Please join us for support, information, sharing and education. Guest speakers may be included. This group will will be held each month at the PinnacleHealth Cancer Center on the east shore and the Ortenzio Cancer Center on the west shore. Please contact at (717) 724-6790 with any questions. This support group meets on the first Monday of every other month. Offered in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, this group is designed to help women manage treatment-related side effects and learn how to care for their skin. Registration is required.

The Breast Cancer Support Group Offers:
- A confidential and informal atmosphere to discuss your concerns about breast cancer and treatment

- A resource library to further enhance your recovery

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Radiation Therapy Department at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center. Parking is available in the Radiation Therapy parking lot on the west side of the hospital.
