Families Connect is a program for the whole family when a parent, grandparent, or adult relative has cancer. A family support group is held while the children and teens (ages 5-18) meet for equal parts support and fun! RSVP by NOON the Monday prior to each group!

The group provides an opportunity to check in with one another and discuss cancer diagnoses, treatment, post-treatment, and lifestyle concerns. The Circle of Friends Breast Cancer Support Group meets the third Wednesday of the month, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, 361 Old Belgrade Road, Augusta. Call MaineGeneral’s Breast Care Program at (207) 621-6162 for more information.
This is a free support group to offer personal support for patients facing surgical procedures and adapting after procedures. The meetings are an open forum for discussing topics of mutual interest. Spouses and friends welcome.

The group provides an opportunity to discuss cancer diagnoses, treatment, post-treatment, and lifestyle concerns. There is always an adjustment to this new terrain, and it’s good to talk about it. Participants learn from one another and help one another in the process. Generally 6 to 10 attend the meeting. Lunch and parking validation are provided.
