Our support groups provide people with cancer and caregivers with a place to explore ways of coping with the stress of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our licensed clinicians help support group participants learn how to take an active role in their own health and well-being. Attendance at an orientation session is required prior to joining a group.
A journaling support group for family and friends of cancer patients. Discover the healing power of writing to express thoughts and feelings. No prior writing experience needed; spelling and grammar do not matter. This group is offered in partnership with Cancer Support Now.

The Wiregrass Chapter of US-TOO Prostate Cancer meets the first Thursday of each month (except July) at 6 p.m. in the SAMC Doctors Building, 7th floor Conference Room. Call Community Relations at 334-793-8107 to register.
Open to all breast cancer survivors. Meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at EAMC’s Education Center (except during the summer). Facilitated by Colleen Alsobrook, RN, Breast Health Navigator, and Chelsea Kroll, LGSW.
Family members and caregivers are encouraged to attend this support group. Each month will feature a different speaker followed by group discussion.

The group provides an opportunity to check in with one another and discuss cancer diagnoses, treatment, post-treatment, and lifestyle concerns.
