Open to men who have experienced any type of cancer and their male family members and supporters. The group provides an opportunity to discuss cancer diagnoses, treatment, post-treatment, and lifestyle concerns. There is always an adjustment to this new terrain, and it’s good to talk about it. Participants learn from one another and help one another in the process. Generally 6 to 10 attend the meeting. Lunch and parking validation are provided.
This semi-monthly support group is for people living with advanced or metastatic cancer. The open discussion group is facilitated by Liz Carrino-Tamasi, MSW, and Emily Sower, NP-C. A vital piece of the Let Every Woman Support Group Know – Alaska mission is providing support for women diagnosed with gynecologic cancer. Let Every Woman Know has launched a regular support group- free of charge, facilitated by a licensed mental health clinician and offered in a drop-in format. This support group is open to women in all stages of diagnosis and treatment and offers a forum to meet women on similar journeys. This group will be held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 12-1:30pm at the Providence Health Park Building Conference Room 2401 at 3851 Piper Street, Anchorage, AK 99508.
Join Anchorage’s prostate and support group in sharing, asking questions or just listening. It’s a great time to get to know one another and spend some time with those that probably know a thing or two about what you are going through.
