A vital piece of the Let Every Woman Support Group Know – Alaska mission is providing support for women diagnosed with gynecologic cancer. Let Every Woman Know has launched a regular support group- free of charge, facilitated by a licensed mental health clinician and offered in a drop-in format. This support group is open to women in all stages of diagnosis and treatment and offers a forum to meet women on similar journeys. This group will be held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 12-1:30pm at the Providence Health Park Building Conference Room 2401 at 3851 Piper Street, Anchorage, AK 99508.

Responsibilities shift, values and beliefs are questioned and endless decisions call for immediate action without a clear understanding of our options or our goals. Regardless of the prognosis, this event permanently changes our lives and leaves us vulnerable to depression and other problems that undermine our hope and complicate our medical care.
Thanks to the generous support of the Monadnock United Way, MAPS offers free support groups to individuals with cancer and to family members caring for someone with cancer. These groups meet weekly for support, education, spiritual reflection and healing. In addition, MAPS offers individual or family counseling for those who are need additional care

All survivors and caretakers are welcome! Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church’s “Cancer Club – Where Hope Happens” meets every fourth Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor, September through June. Colons and Semi Colons is a group created to offer support, inspiration, hope and healing for people who have experienced or who are experiencing colorectal cancer.
The group meets the 2nd Monday of each month from 5:30 -7 p.m. at the EAMC Education Center.
